MAX Power Mining Corp. has signed an MOU with the City of Moose Jaw to explore natural hydrogen opportunities in Saskatchewan, positioning the region as a clean energy hub.

MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the City of Moose Jaw to jointly explore strategic opportunities related to natural hydrogen commercialization within the Regina-Moose Jaw Industrial Corridor. The partnership aims to align regional infrastructure, industrial development, policy and economic initiatives as MAX Power works to position Saskatchewan as a potential hub for domestically sourced clean energy innovation and long-term economic growth.
The MOU supports advancement of the company’s Lawson Natural Hydrogen project toward commercial validation. MAX Power’s Lawson Discovery near Central Butte, Saskatchewan, represents Canada’s first-ever subsurface Natural Hydrogen system confirmed through deep drilling with data validated by three independent labs. The company has built dominant district-scale land positions across Saskatchewan with approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits covering prime exploration ground prospective for large-volume accumulations of Natural Hydrogen.
The agreement with Moose Jaw is expected to facilitate the development of infrastructure and regulatory frameworks needed to commercialize natural hydrogen, a clean energy source that could play a significant role in decarbonization. By collaborating with municipal authorities, MAX Power aims to integrate natural hydrogen into the region’s industrial base, potentially attracting investment and creating jobs.
MAX Power is an innovative mineral and energy exploration company focused on the shift to decarbonization. In addition to its hydrogen projects, the company holds a portfolio of properties in the United States and Canada focused on critical minerals. These include the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona, where a 2024 diamond drilling discovery was made.
This announcement highlights the growing interest in natural hydrogen as a viable clean energy source and Saskatchewan’s potential to become a leader in this emerging sector. The MOU represents a concrete step toward commercializing a resource that could have significant implications for energy independence and environmental sustainability.
