MEDICLIN Reports Solid First Half of 2026 with Revenue and EBIT Growth

MEDICLIN Aktiengesellschaft reported a 5% increase in consolidated group revenues to EUR 386.4 million and a 19% rise in group EBIT to EUR 26.6 million for the first half of 2026, driven by stable core business and cost management.

MEDICLIN Aktiengesellschaft (Ticker: MED; WKN 659 510) announced its financial results for the first half of 2026, showing a solid performance with consolidated group revenues reaching EUR 386.4 million, up 5.0% from EUR 368.1 million in the prior year. Group EBIT improved by EUR 4.3 million to EUR 26.6 million, compared to EUR 22.4 million in the same period last year. The company treated 54,708 patients, an increase from 53,183 in the previous year.
CFO Tino Fritz commented, “We were able to build consistently on the positive momentum from the first quarter. This is clearly reflected in our half-year results: stability in our core business areas, efficient cost management and targeted investments have helped us to achieve our earnings targets for the second quarter. We remain determined to maintain this momentum and to strengthen MEDICLIN’s growth in the long term.”
Breaking down performance by segment, the Post-Acute segment saw revenues of EUR 263.0 million, up 4.6% from EUR 251.5 million, with EBIT rising to EUR 25.6 million from EUR 23.3 million. The cost of materials ratio decreased to 19.0% from 20.0%, while staff costs increased 7.2% to EUR 145.2 million, raising the staff costs ratio to 55.2% from 53.9%.
The Acute Care segment generated revenues of EUR 111.2 million, compared to EUR 104.6 million in the prior year. However, EBIT remained negative at EUR -1.1 million, unchanged from last year, as cost of materials rose 12.2% to EUR 34.6 million, with the cost of materials ratio increasing to 31.1% from 29.5%. Staff costs increased 6.3% to EUR 68.6 million, but the staff cost ratio remained stable at 61.7%.
In the Care segment, revenue edged up to EUR 12.3 million from EUR 12.1 million, and EBIT turned positive at EUR 0.2 million, compared to a loss of EUR 0.2 million last year. The Service segment reported other income of EUR 69.2 million, slightly up from EUR 68.5 million, with EBIT climbing to EUR 1.9 million from EUR 0.5 million.
Looking ahead, MEDICLIN’s management board expects consolidated group revenue growth of 3.5% to 6.5% for the full year, with group EBIT forecast between EUR 57.0 million and EUR 72.0 million. The interim report as at 30 June 2026 is available at www.mediclin.de in German and English.
