Miracles for Mya Gala Set to Raise Funds for Pediatric Cancer Support

Miracles for Mya, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children with cancer, will host its Second Annual Gala on March 8, 2025, to continue its mission of delivering hope and joy to families facing pediatric cancer. The event, taking place at Tuscany Falls Banquets in Mokena, Illinois, represents a significant milestone in the organization's ongoing efforts to support young cancer patients.

Founded in 2018 after the founders' daughter Mya's courageous battle with stage IV Neuroblastoma, the organization has made substantial strides in supporting children and families navigating the challenging landscape of pediatric cancer. To date, Miracles for Mya has donated over 9,000 toys to children in local hospitals throughout Northeastern Illinois and distributed more than $160,000 in toys and financial aid.

The upcoming gala highlights the organization's commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of children battling cancer. At $85 per person, the event offers attendees an evening of entertainment, including music by Chicago DJ Eddie V, dinner, dancing, and an open bar. Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in raffles featuring prizes such as a $1,000 Southwest Airlines Gift Card, a PlayStation 5, and a Go Kart.

The 2024 holiday season marked a significant achievement for Miracles for Mya, with the organization providing over $56,000 in gifts to children facing cancer. This milestone underscores the nonprofit's growing impact and its ability to bring moments of joy and hope to families during challenging times.

The organization's origins are deeply personal, rooted in the experience of Mya Tinajero, who was diagnosed with stage IV Neuroblastoma at age 4. Despite her challenging diagnosis, Mya was known for her unwavering smile, kindness, and bravery throughout her six-year battle with cancer.
