Miramar Park of Commerce Enhances Support for Youth-Police Summer Camp

The 'Hangin’ with 5-0' summer camp, a program designed to build trust between underserved Miramar students and local law enforcement, has received enhanced support from Sunbeam Properties & Development and the Miramar Park of Commerce. This year's sponsorship increase marks a continuation of a 16-year partnership that began when Sunbeam stepped in to fund the camp following city budget cuts. The camp offers children aged nine to 14 a variety of positive experiences, including beach clean-ups, Everglades tours, and mentorship opportunities, aiming to create lasting bonds between the youth and police officers.

Ryan Goggins, Vice President at Sunbeam Properties & Development, emphasized the program's impact on the community, highlighting the importance of providing safe and enriching summer activities for young people. The recent beach clean-up and barbecue event at Hollywood North Park Beach, sponsored by Sunbeam and the Miramar Park of Commerce, exemplified the program's growing community impact and the ongoing commitment to its success.

Beyond 'Hangin’ with 5-0', Sunbeam Properties & Development has contributed to various local causes in Miramar, including funding for the Ansin Sports Complex and the Ansin Family Gallery at the Miramar Cultural Center, as well as organizing supply and toy drives for military families and local children.
