MLB and American Heart Association Partner to Teach Lifesaving CPR at 2025 All-Star Game

The American Heart Association and Major League Baseball (MLB) are collaborating to offer Hands-Only CPR training at the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, targeting a significant public health issue. Cardiac arrest survival rates outside hospitals remain low, primarily due to the lack of immediate CPR. This initiative, part of the American Heart Association's Nation of Lifesavers™ movement, seeks to double survival rates by 2030 by educating the public on the simplicity and effectiveness of Hands-Only CPR.

During the Capital One All-Star Village in Atlanta, fans will have the opportunity to learn this critical skill from qualified trainers. The technique, which involves calling 911 and performing chest compressions, can be as effective as traditional CPR in the initial minutes of a cardiac emergency. The event underscores the importance of community preparedness in saving lives, with MLB providing a platform to reach a broad audience.

Nancy Brown, CEO of the American Heart Association, highlighted the potential impact of the training, noting that immediate CPR can significantly increase survival chances. Jon Coyles of MLB expressed pride in supporting the initiative, emphasizing the league's commitment to health and safety.
