Monkee's of Fair Oaks Ranch Opens August 20, Bringing Contemporary Fashion to Bexar County

Monkee's of Fair Oaks Ranch will hold its grand opening at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026, in the Lemon Creek Ranch development, marking the culmination of a year of preparation for owner Kelli Hull. The boutique aims to serve the Fair Oaks Ranch and Boerne communities with a curated selection of contemporary women's clothing, filling a void that Hull identified as a frustrated shopper who previously faced a 45-minute drive to San Antonio for such offerings.

"I kept hearing from other women that they had the same frustrations I did," Hull said. "On Thursday, that changes. We can't wait to open the doors and finally show everyone what we've built."

The opening day begins with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and confetti pop at 9:30 a.m., followed by doors opening to the public at 10 a.m. The 1,200-square-foot boutique will feature brands including Paige denim, FRAME, Milly, Shoshanna, Marie Oliver, and Aviator Nation, with the first 100 purchases receiving a special gift. Throughout the weekend, guests can enjoy champagne, light bites, and giveaways from local partners such as Heights Wellness, Golden Salon, Rooted Strength Fitness, and Glossy Nail Bar.

The store's inventory was assembled during buying trips to New York City showrooms. Hull noted that the timing aligns with the back-to-school season. Looking ahead, the boutique plans to introduce new brands in January 2027, including Tecovas, Hunter Bell, AGL, and New Braunfels-based Sunshine Tienda. "If you want to wear a basic top, a pair of denim and sneakers during the day, but then you have an event in the evening and you need to put on a cocktail dress, we're your one-stop shop to do all of that," Hull said.

Several trunk shows are scheduled for the grand opening weekend, offering exclusive access to expanded collections. Hull emphasizes that the boutique is more than a store; it is built around service and experience. "People are a little bit frustrated with a lack of customer service, not only in retail but in industries at large," Hull said. "We want every single person who comes in to feel a very elevated, experiential shopping experience." This includes services such as personal styling, private after-hours events, and Sunday appointments.

Monkee's of Fair Oaks Ranch is one of the few veteran-owned Monkee's franchises in the country. "Supporting the military community is something you'll continue to see us do for years to come," Hull said. The location in Lemon Creek Ranch was chosen for its accessibility and growth potential, with direct access off I-10 and convenient parking. "You can drive right up to the store, park and walk in," Hull said. "Lemon Creek Ranch is great where it's at now, but it's only going to continue to get better."
