NAWBO Orlando Announces Finalists for 2025 PropelHER Pitch Competition

The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Orlando has selected nine dynamic women entrepreneurs as finalists for its 2025 PropelHER Pitch Competition, highlighting the diverse and innovative landscape of women-led businesses in Florida.

The competition will feature finalists in three distinct categories: NextGen, Emerging, and Established, each representing unique business concepts addressing various societal and economic challenges. Participants will compete for cash prizes and over $18,000 in professional services, including legal support, marketing assistance, and promotional packages.

NextGen finalists include Line Cherrelus with Hair Hub, a mobile application designed to empower Black women through affordable hair care resources, and Elaina Dixon's Blossoming to Broadway, a developmental program utilizing drama therapy and arts education to support youth social-emotional growth.

In the Emerging category, entrepreneurs like Janell Borrero of MoneyPOP are developing innovative fintech solutions, while Daisy Parks' Wellside Health aims to revolutionize telehealth service delivery. Tasanee Durrett's Tasanee Art collective focuses on cultural storytelling and creating economic opportunities for diverse creatives.

Established category finalists demonstrate sophisticated business models, with Julie Kostic's JK Creative offering affordable branding services and Cristina Duncan's Leaders in Training program combining leadership development, dance, and community service to empower underserved students.

The pitch competition is part of the broader Take Flight Women's Business Conference, which will provide comprehensive networking opportunities, expert-led panels on marketing and funding, and inspirational keynote speeches. This event underscores NAWBO Orlando's commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs and driving economic innovation.
