NeOnc's positive Phase 2a data for NEO100 in recurrent brain cancer, alongside regulatory clarity for NEO212, positions the company for potential registrational trials and broadens its oncology pipeline.

NeOnc Technologies Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTHI) has reported encouraging clinical results from its lead candidate, NEO100, in a Phase 2a trial for recurrent brain cancer. The data, updated by Stonegate Capital Partners, show that NEO100 met its primary endpoint of six-month progression-free survival (PFS-6) at 48.9% using RANO 2.0 criteria and Kaplan-Meier estimation, compared to a pre-specified benchmark of 20% (p=0.0047). The median overall survival (OS) reached 26.09 months, and the treatment demonstrated a favorable tolerability profile with no major toxicities reported.
The survival signal is particularly significant. Management noted that current salvage therapy for recurrent brain cancer typically offers only 6–9 months of survival, making the observed median OS of over 26 months a stark contrast. However, confirmation in a randomized study remains the next critical step. The positive readout moves NEO100 into a potential registrational program, with the company planning to request a Type B FDA meeting to discuss trial design and approval pathways.
Beyond NEO100, NeOnc's second asset, NEO212, has gained regulatory momentum. The company received Phase 2 CMC clearance and FDA feedback indicating a potential accelerated approval pathway. This broadening of the clinical pipeline adds to the investment case, as NEO100 is also being explored in meningioma and pediatric brain tumors, while NEO212 offers a differentiated second program.
Financially, the company's results are secondary to these clinical milestones, with research and development expenses increasing to $2.6 million from $0.7 million year-over-year. This increase reflects the expanded development activity. As the company advances its programs, funding remains a key consideration, but the recent clinical and regulatory progress positions NeOnc for potential growth in the neuro-oncology space.
