NeuroOne Medical Technologies Corporation (Nasdaq: NMTC) has released a white paper titled “StereoCED™ - A Scalable Platform for CNS Drug Delivery,” available for download from the Scientific Resources section of nmtc1.com. The document addresses a critical challenge facing the field of central nervous system (CNS) therapeutics: the need for efficient, reproducible methods to deliver drugs directly to the brain as cell and gene therapies and biologics advance toward commercialization.

Convection-enhanced delivery (CED) has been shown to bypass the blood-brain barrier and achieve targeted drug distribution, but current approaches often involve lengthy sequential infusions lasting 8 to 12 hours, which could become a significant bottleneck for widespread adoption. The StereoCED™ platform is being designed to circumvent these limitations by integrating with robotic stereotactic systems already standard in neurosurgical operating rooms. This integration aims to support simultaneous, multi-trajectory intracranial drug delivery through a streamlined robotic workflow, potentially reducing procedure time and enabling reproducible, scalable therapeutic delivery.
