The company's step-back drill hole aims to assess phosphate grade continuity at depth, with minor technical issues being resolved by the drilling contractor.

Nevada Organic Phosphate Inc. (CSE: NOP; OTCQB: NOPFF) has announced the commencement of drilling on the first hole of its 2026 exploration program at the Murdock Mountain Project. The initial deep drill hole, designated MM26-7, is designed as a 100-meter step-back from last fall's MM25-1 to further evaluate the thickness, continuity and phosphate grade characteristics of the Meade Peak Upper Phosphatic Zone at depth.
The company reported that minor technical drilling issues were identified and are being addressed by contractor FTE Drilling. Operations are expected to resume shortly, and no material delays are anticipated. This drilling program is a critical step in advancing the project, which hosts what is believed to be the only known large-scale organic sedimentary phosphate project in North America.
Nevada Organic Phosphate is a junior exploration company with an organic sedimentary raw rock phosphate bed stretching 6.6 kilometers in northeast Nevada. Additional applications extend the potential strike of rock phosphate to over 30 kilometers. The project is situated close to the main highway to Montello/Elko, Nevada, and near the rail head to California, providing logistical advantages for future development.
The Murdock Mountain Project represents a significant opportunity for the company, as organic sedimentary phosphate is a key ingredient in fertilizers and other agricultural products. With global demand for phosphate fertilizers rising, the project could play a vital role in supplying the North American market. The company's focus on deep drilling aims to confirm the resource potential and de-risk the project for future feasibility studies.
