New Book Uncovers a 100-Year-Old Secret in a Haunted Vermont Castle

Two New England co-authors have released their third true paranormal book in the 'Haunting Of' series, titled 'Haunting of Wilson Castle,' which published June 1, 2026, and quickly achieved number one status on Amazon. The book details a five-hour public paranormal investigation conducted at Wilson Castle, an architectural masterpiece built in the mid-19th century in Vermont's Green Mountains.

The investigation was led by Rob Gutro, a renowned pet medium and paranormal investigator, and Monique Toosoon, New England's paranormal drag queen and para-technology wizard. They were joined by medium Lexi Duquette and The Digital Séance Experience. The team uncovered a 100-year-old secret tryst among the many earthbound ghosts that haunt the castle for various reasons. 'We had amazing communications with Elliot and Sarah's ghosts and might've even uncovered a secret castle love affair,' Monique said. 'But things took a darker turn after midnight when an ominous male presence made himself known… and let's not forget the elemental energy that stirred.'

The investigation was born from an idea Monique had and discussed with Denise Davine, the owner and operator of Wilson Castle, who approved the event. Gutro, who communicated with all the ghosts, explained, 'Learning the personal emotional stories of the ghosts we encountered, and assembling the puzzle together with mediums and technology was amazing.' The book is the latest in the 'Haunting Of' series, which features true paranormal investigations conducted by Gutro and Toosoon with assistance from other professionals in the field.

Gutro, also a scientist, explains the paranormal using the science of energy, describing earthbound entities as ghosts and those who crossed over as spirits.
