Water ecological health is pivotal for sustaining ecosystems and ensuring human well-being, yet China's diverse water environments complicate precise health assessments. Wenqing Liu's team has introduced an innovative assessment framework that merges water quality and ecological indicators, establishing a clinical diagnosis paradigm. The proposed framework advocates for enhanced stereoscopic monitoring networks utilizing environmental optics to boost monitoring efficiency.
