A significant breakthrough in maternal mental health support has emerged as a major New Jersey health plan begins covering Curio Care's digital therapeutic solutions, MamaLift and MamaLift Plus. These innovative programs aim to address the critical yet often overlooked mental health needs of expectant and new mothers across the state.

Postpartum depression affects nearly one in seven new mothers, a statistic that underscores the urgent need for accessible mental health resources. Curio Care's digital solutions provide a stigma-free, mobile-first approach to addressing maternal mental wellness, offering support through evidence-based cognitive-behavioral therapy and behavioral activation techniques.

MamaLift Plus stands out as the first FDA-cleared Prescription Digital Therapeutic specifically designed to treat mild to moderate postpartum depression symptoms. Its counterpart, MamaLift, supports women experiencing subclinical symptoms, emotional adjustment challenges, and those at elevated risk of postpartum depression.

The partnership with the health plan, which covers more than 55% of expectant and new mothers in New Jersey, represents a significant step in improving maternal mental health access. Women can now be digitally referred to Curio Care through healthcare providers and care navigators, ensuring a seamless and convenient pathway to support.
