Nexteer Automotive has commenced construction on a new smart manufacturing facility in Liuzhou, China, marking a significant step in its strategic expansion within the APAC steering market. This development is poised to bolster Nexteer's production capabilities for advanced steering and motion control technologies, including Column-Assist Electric Power Steering (CEPS) systems and Modular Power Packs, catering to the increasing demands from both domestic and global OEMs.
The facility, spanning over 40,000 square meters, is designed with smart and green manufacturing principles, featuring energy-efficient infrastructure and advanced automation. It aims to enhance in-house production of key components and foster deeper collaboration across Nexteer's supply chain, including a dedicated co-location for core suppliers to optimize cost efficiencies and innovation.
