Nexteer Expands Global Footprint with New Smart Manufacturing Facility in Liuzhou, China

Nexteer Automotive has commenced construction on a new smart manufacturing facility in Liuzhou, China, marking a significant step in its strategic expansion within the APAC steering market. This development is poised to bolster Nexteer's production capabilities for advanced steering and motion control technologies, including Column-Assist Electric Power Steering (CEPS) systems and Modular Power Packs, catering to the increasing demands from both domestic and global OEMs.

The facility, spanning over 40,000 square meters, is designed with smart and green manufacturing principles, featuring energy-efficient infrastructure and advanced automation. It aims to enhance in-house production of key components and foster deeper collaboration across Nexteer's supply chain, including a dedicated co-location for core suppliers to optimize cost efficiencies and innovation.

Scheduled to be fully operational in the first half of 2026, the new plant will replace Nexteer's current Liuzhou facility, incorporating advanced laboratories, test tracks, and an employee center. This expansion reflects Nexteer's dedication to sustainable industrial development and its vision to support the future of intelligent mobility with safe, green, and exciting solutions.

Jun Li, Nexteer's Global Vice President and APAC Division President, highlighted the facility's role in scaling capacity to meet the burgeoning demand for steering solutions across China and the broader APAC region.
