No Such Place Launches Multiplayer Demo for Steam Next Fest

Crit Team, an independent studio under ChillyRoom Game, announced the release of a public multiplayer demo for its upcoming top-down PvE extraction shooter, No Such Place, on Steam. The demo became available on June 15, 2026, ahead of Steam Next Fest, allowing players to experience early game progression with support for solo play and 1–4 player online co-op.

In No Such Place, players assume the role of agents from the Unknown Research Consortium (U.R.C.), a secret organization tasked with investigating supernatural anomalies erased from history. The game challenges players to survive hostile environments, gather supplies and intelligence, and extract before time runs out. The demo offers a glimpse into this world, with progression data partially carrying over to the full release, which is slated for Q4 2026.

Players can explore abandoned military outposts, research facilities, and other anomalous zones, scavenging for weapons, medicine, and equipment while uncovering relics and classified documents. The game emphasizes survival, with every mission ending at an extraction point. Threats include not only monsters but also rival agents, mercenaries, and deranged survivors, making human adversaries often more dangerous.

A standout feature is the weapon customization system, which allows players to combine parts from different eras and technologies—such as attaching a motorcycle suppressor to an assault rifle or a Victorian brass scope to modern military hardware. This corrupted technology system enables nearly limitless combinations. Additionally, players can grow stronger through multiple progression paths, with physical attributes and weapon proficiencies improving as they complete missions.

The Safehouse serves as a hub where resources recovered during expeditions can be used to build and upgrade facilities, preparing players for future missions. Co-op play is central to the experience, allowing up to four players to team up, cover more ground, and rescue each other before extraction.

The demo supports English, Japanese, and Chinese. For more information, visit the Steam page or the official website.
