This discovery is crucial for the project's development, as access to industrial water is a critical factor for lithium brine operations in arid regions. The water well, drilled to a depth of 190 meters, is strategically positioned near areas with the highest lithium concentration, aligning with plans for future production facilities and evaporation ponds.

Gabriel Rubacha, NOA's Chief Executive Officer, highlighted the importance of this discovery, noting its potential to streamline the project's development timeline and reduce costs associated with water procurement. The Rio Grande Project is part of NOA's extensive lithium brine claim portfolio in the Lithium Triangle, an area known for high-grade, low-cost lithium operations. With a preliminary economic assessment expected in Q3 2025, the project aims for an initial production capacity of 20,000 metric tonnes per year of lithium carbonate equivalent, scalable to double that amount.
