A collaborative effort between Noah Text and Storyshares aims to improve literacy for students beyond third grade by providing specially formatted books that help struggling, dyslexic, and multilingual readers decode complex text more effectively.

Noah Text and Storyshares have launched a partnership designed to transform literacy opportunities for adolescent readers who struggle with grade-level text. By combining Storyshares' culturally inclusive book collection with Noah Text's innovative text formatting method, the collaboration seeks to provide accessible reading materials for students facing reading challenges.
The partnership has initially resulted in converting 36 Storyshares books into Noah Text format, which uses an evidence-based approach to help readers more easily decode words. The specialized text formatting is particularly beneficial for striving readers, individuals with dyslexia, and multilingual learners by providing visual scaffolding that reveals word structures.
Noah Text's methodology is grounded in reading science and simulates writing systems that make learning to read more intuitive. The approach helps readers improve reading fluency, accuracy, and comprehension by reducing cognitive load typically associated with decoding complex text. This can be especially impactful for students beyond third grade who continue to struggle with reading skills.
The books will be distributed through multiple channels, including Noah Text's retail bookstore, Ingram's wholesale network, and direct sales to K-12 school districts. Additionally, Noah Text offers free conversion tools like a Chrome extension that can transform web pages into their specialized text format.
For students with specific learning needs, Noah Text can be incorporated into Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 plans as a modification to support dyslexic readers. The partnership represents a significant step toward making literacy more accessible and engaging for students who have traditionally faced reading challenges.
