ODORUN, a hardware product company based in Newport Beach, California, announced it will launch the ANS-01RM on Kickstarter on July 14, 2026. The company describes it as the world's first toilet odor extractor, designed to solve a long-standing problem that has plagued bathrooms for centuries. The cordless, rechargeable device mounts to a standard toilet and extracts odor at the bowl, venting it outside before it reaches the room.

Unlike traditional methods such as ceiling fans, sprays, and filters that only dilute, mask, or recirculate odors, ODORUN claims to remove the odor entirely. The ANS-01RM captures odors at the source and expels them through the existing plumbing, ensuring no lingering smell. The device is chemical-free, reducing health risks, and features a touchless wave on/off function with an auto shut-off after 90 seconds. Installation is described as simple and DIY-friendly, requiring about an hour, and the device requires no refills or cartridges, meaning no ongoing costs.

Michael Huang, founder of ODORUN, stated that the product originated from a simple question: why has bathroom odor control barely advanced while other home technologies have evolved?
