Opawica Exploration Inc. Announces Significant Gold Potential on Bazooka Property Along Cadillac-Larder Lake Fault

Opawica Explorations Inc. has provided a significant update on its Bazooka Property, highlighting the substantial gold exploration potential along the Cadillac-Larder Lake Fault system. The 100-percent-owned Bazooka Project covers 1,371 hectares and encompasses seven kilometers of the Cadillac/Larder Lake fault zone, a structure known for controlling numerous gold deposits in the southern Abitibi greenstone belt. Recent drilling focused on the eastern portion of the property has revealed 19 gold mineralized zones, with 15 zones carrying grades above 0.55 g/t up to 6.12 g/t Au, and 16 zones having core lengths greater than 10 meters up to 67.9 meters.

The western part of the property, located approximately four to six kilometers west of the recent drilling area, contains historical gold mineralization along the same fault system. This geological configuration suggests the potential for a large, connected gold system ready for discovery. CEO and President Blake Morgan emphasized the property's enormous potential, stating that the company has identified both high-grade zones and large bulk tonnage drill results in the eastern area. The Cadillac Larder fault zone represents the primary gold-bearing structure in the region, with multiple deposits historically connected to create multi-million-ounce deposits.

The company's strategic plan involves systematically testing and drilling westward from the high-grade zone to connect the various mineralized zones and potentially discover new high-grade areas. This exploration approach is supported by geological data from multiple other deposits in the region and the fault system's characteristics. The Bazooka Property's western boundary adjacent to the Wassamac gold property, which was acquired by Agnico Eagle in 2023 in a multi-billion-dollar transaction, further enhances the property's exploration significance. The company's findings and planned exploration activities demonstrate the substantial mineral potential of this under-explored segment of the Cadillac-Larder Lake Fault system.
