Opawica Explorations is set to launch a fully permitted 10,000-metre drill program at its Arrowhead Gold Property in Quebec, targeting high-grade gold mineralization adjacent to Agnico Eagle's prolific LaRonde Complex, marking a pivotal step toward unlocking the property's potential.

Opawica Explorations Readies 10,000-Metre Drill Program at Arrowhead Gold Property, Adjacent to Agnico Eagle's LaRonde Complex

Opawica Explorations Inc. (TSXV: OPW) (FSE: A2PEAD) (OTCQB: OPWEF) has announced it is ready to advance its 100%-owned Arrowhead Gold Property in Quebec, following years of comprehensive geological compilation and modern exploration techniques. The company holds drill permits covering 25 drill-pad locations and has outlined a strategy for approximately 10,000 metres of high-priority drilling, intended to systematically test targets generated from one of the most comprehensive modern geological datasets assembled over the property.

Arrowhead is situated in the prolific Abitibi Greenstone Belt, immediately adjacent to properties held by Agnico Eagle Mines Limited, including the producing LaRonde Complex, which has produced over eight million ounces of gold since 1988. While mineralization on adjacent properties is not necessarily indicative of Arrowhead's potential, the location within an established mining district enhances the prospectivity of the project.

The property boasts a long exploration history dating back approximately a century, with early work including prospecting, trenching, and underground workings. Historical gold values of approximately 45.05 g/t Au were reported, and chip sampling returned grades as high as 90.75 g/t Au over 1.0 metre. These historical results have not been independently verified by Opawica's Qualified Person but highlight the property's historical significance.

Opawica's modern exploration efforts began with a 2022 diamond-drill program consisting of 4,306 metres across 14 holes. The program confirmed gold mineralization along a one-kilometre strike length, with 11 holes intersecting gold zones grading greater than 1.0 g/t Au. Selected intercepts included 18.7 g/t Au over 0.35 metres with 0.72% Cu, and 1.52 g/t Au over 14.8 metres. The drilling identified gold in shear zones with quartz-carbonate-tourmaline veins and mineralized felsic tuffs.

Despite these successes, nine target zones from the 2022 program remained untested. The upcoming drill program aims to test these and other high-priority targets generated from advanced 3D modelling, geophysics, and artificial-intelligence-assisted targeting. The company believes Arrowhead has reached an important stage where the next phase is about drilling to test the scale of the mineralized system.

The planned program is designed to test the continuity, extensions, and potential depth of known gold mineralization. With permits already in hand, Opawica is positioned to move quickly. The company's management has a strong track record in exploration, and this program represents a significant opportunity to unlock value at Arrowhead, which could potentially support future resource-definition activities.

The announcement underscores the importance of systematic exploration in mature mining districts. By integrating historical data with modern techniques, Opawica is de-risking the exploration process and targeting high-grade gold mineralization with precision. The proximity to Agnico Eagle's LaRonde Complex, a world-class operation, adds to the strategic significance of the project.
