Peace Rides Motorcycle Group Continues 14-Year Mission to Heal Communities Affected by Violence

On June 28, 2026, the Peace Rides motorcycle group held their monthly ride through South Central Los Angeles, marking 14 years of promoting peace and supporting families affected by violence. The ride began at a local Park & Ride and concluded at Athens Park, with participants including a 70-year-old professional wedding photographer attending for the first time after his 32-year-old grandson was fatally shot following an argument.

Rather than seeking revenge, the grandfather chose to honor his grandson's memory by joining the Peace Rides to help build a more peaceful community. He was presented with a copy of The Way to Happiness, a common-sense guide to better living written by L. Ron Hubbard, and accepted additional copies to share with others. The Church of Scientology Celebrity Centre International has donated these booklets to the Peace Rides each month for 14 years.

The Peace Rides bring together riders dedicated to demonstrating that communities can unite in healing rather than retaliation. The group's efforts highlight the importance of turning personal tragedy into a commitment to peace and preventing other families from experiencing similar loss.
