The PNE Group obtained permits for two wind energy projects in Germany with a combined capacity of 54 megawatts, which will supply electricity to approximately 24,600 households annually and advance regional energy transition goals.

PNE Group Secures Permits for Two German Wind Farms Totaling 54 MW

The PNE Group received necessary permits under the German Federal Immission Control Act for two wind energy projects in Germany during the fourth quarter of 2025. These permits authorize construction and operation of the 'Am Heilborn' wind farm in Thuringia and the repowering of the 'Hassendorf' wind farm in Lower Saxony. The combined installed nominal output of these projects totals 54 megawatts, representing significant progress in Germany's renewable energy expansion.

For the Thuringian wind farm 'Am Heilborn', which consists of two sections, five Vestas V172 wind turbines with a nominal output of 7.2 megawatts each are planned. This configuration will give the wind farm a total nominal output of 36.0 megawatts. PNE also received the second partial permit for repowering the Hassendorf wind farm in Lower Saxony, concerning another Vestas V150 wind turbine with a nominal output of 6 megawatts. Two turbines of the same type had already been permitted in June 2025, making the project fully permitted with three turbines totaling 18 megawatts.

Once operational, these wind farms will generate enough electricity to supply approximately 24,600 three-person households annually. This capacity contributes substantially to sustainable energy supply and supports implementation of Germany's energy transition in the respective regions. The projects demonstrate PNE's growing portfolio in Germany and expertise in navigating complex permit procedures essential for renewable energy development.

Roland Stanze, COO of PNE AG, emphasized that "the current permits are an important step for our growing project portfolio in Germany" and that "they demonstrate our high level of expertise in complex permit procedures and lay the foundation for the further expansion of our own generation capacities and our commitment to an economical and sustainable energy transition." The PNE Group, listed on the SDAX, has operated for over 30 years as one of the most experienced project developers in onshore and offshore wind farms, with a portfolio covering all project planning phases from site investigation to operation and repowering.

These developments occur within Germany's broader context of renewable energy expansion, where wind power plays a crucial role in meeting climate targets and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. The successful permitting of these projects indicates continued momentum in Germany's renewable energy sector despite regulatory challenges.
