PowerHouse Automotive Group Acquires Griffin Chevrolet, Creating First Multi-Brand Campus in Sylvester

PowerHouse Automotive Group announced on July 2 the acquisition of Griffin Chevrolet of Sylvester, marking its fifth dealership, its first Chevrolet franchise, and the creation of a new multi-brand “Sylvester campus” in Southwest Georgia. The transaction closed on July 1, 2026. Located at 1006 W. Franklin St. in Sylvester, Griffin Chevrolet sits right next to PowerHouse’s Ford Sylvester dealership at 1002 W. Franklin St., placing the two dealerships literally side-by-side and creating PowerHouse’s first true automotive campus. This setup offers customers in the Sylvester area access to Ford and Chevrolet vehicle lineups, sales, and services at a single location.

The acquisition expands PowerHouse’s presence in Sylvester, where the company has operated the Ford Sylvester dealership since acquiring the Sunbelt Ford group in December 2025. With this agreement, PowerHouse now operates five dealerships in Southwest Georgia—Ford Albany, Ford Americus, Ford Cordele, Ford Sylvester, and the newly acquired Chevrolet Sylvester—and adds its first non-Ford brand to its portfolio. PowerHouse plans to retain the Griffin Chevrolet team and integrate the location into its existing operational and community programs, including its workforce development initiatives and support for the region’s military families.
