Powermax Minerals has launched its 2026 field program at the Cameron REE Project in British Columbia, aiming to refine targets for future drilling based on promising prior results.

Powermax Minerals Inc. (CSE: PMAX) (OTCQB: PWMXF) has commenced its 2026 exploration program at its 100%-owned Cameron Rare Earth Element (“REE”) Project in British Columbia, building on encouraging findings from previous exploration campaigns. The three-week program will combine geological mapping and prospecting with rock, soil and stream sediment sampling, ground radiometric surveys and integrated data analysis to refine REE target corridors, identify potential bedrock sources and prioritize areas for future trenching and first-pass drilling.
Earlier Phase 1 and 2 exploration identified enrichment of both light and heavy rare earth elements across multiple geological units, with soil samples returning total rare earth oxide values of up to approximately 2,840 ppm and surface rock samples reaching 740 ppm. Located across 2,984 hectares with access to established transportation infrastructure, the Cameron Project is also prospective for niobium and other mineralization.
The initiation of this program underscores Powermax's commitment to advancing its rare earth element portfolio amid growing global demand for these critical minerals. Rare earth elements are essential components in modern technologies, including electric vehicles, wind turbines, and defense systems. With supply chains heavily reliant on a few countries, projects like Cameron could play a strategic role in diversifying sources.
According to the company, the 2026 field program is designed to build on the positive results from earlier phases. The integrated approach, combining multiple sampling methods and radiometric surveys, is expected to provide a comprehensive understanding of the mineralization. This will enable the company to delineate drill targets with higher confidence, potentially accelerating the project's development timeline.
The Cameron Project's location in British Columbia offers logistical advantages, with access to transportation infrastructure that could facilitate future development. Additionally, the project's potential for niobium, another critical metal used in high-strength steel and other alloys, adds to its overall economic appeal.
Powermax Minerals is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on advancing rare earth element projects. The company holds an option to acquire the Cameron REE Property, comprising three mineral claims totaling approximately 2,984 hectares in British Columbia. Powermax also has options to acquire the Atikokan REE Property and Pinard REE Property in NW Ontario. Powermax also owns a 100% interest in the Ogden Bear Lodge Project in Crook County, Wyoming.
