Puerto Rico Day at The Ballpark Celebrates Island's Baseball Legacy

The Puerto Rico Day at the Ballpark, presented by 21 Events and sponsored by Discover Puerto Rico, celebrates Puerto Rico's rich baseball history and its players at Major League Baseball stadiums across the United States. This event not only pays tribute to the island's 125-year baseball legacy but also highlights the vibrant Puerto Rican culture, including its music, cuisine, and passion for sports, encouraging fans to experience the local way of life.

Scheduled for 2025 at stadiums including Citi Field, Citizen Bank Park, Truist Park, Rate Field, and PNC Park, the event will honor both current and former Puerto Rican MLB players. Previous seasons have celebrated players like Ivan 'Pudge' Rodriguez, Francisco Lindor, and Carlos Correa, among others, showcasing the significant contributions of Puerto Rican athletes to the sport.

Glorianna Yamin, VP of Marketing at Discover Puerto Rico, emphasized the deep connection between Puerto Rico and baseball, stating it's a fundamental part of the island's DNA. Ralph Paniagua of 21 Events highlighted the historical significance of Puerto Rico in baseball, noting its role as a pioneer in integrating players of diverse backgrounds on the same field.
