Puerto Rico’s Day at the Ballpark continues its 2026 nationwide series with three upcoming celebrations in Colorado, Chicago, and Los Angeles, presented by Discover Puerto Rico and produced by 21 Events. These events showcase Puerto Rico’s deep connection to baseball and honor the players who have made significant contributions to the game.

The series will visit Coors Field in Colorado on August 18, Rate Field in Chicago on August 22, and Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on August 23. Each event will feature unique in-stadium experiences, player recognitions, and Puerto Rico-themed elements, building on a tradition that has celebrated the island’s baseball history since 2023.

At Coors Field, the Colorado Rockies will host the celebration, featuring Willi Castro and Coach Andy González. The program includes a first pitch by Benjamin Oaks, owner of Aguanile, Denver’s first Puerto Rican dinner club, along with an on-field presentation, scoreboard tributes, and various fan engagement activities.

In Chicago, the event will coincide with a game between the New York Mets and the Chicago White Sox. Legendary pitcher Roberto Hernandez will be recognized, and award-winning Puerto Rican chef Monti Carlo will throw the ceremonial first pitch. The festivities will include on-field presentations and in-stadium activations celebrating Puerto Rico’s baseball legacy.

At Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Kiké Hernández and Edwin Díaz will be honored. Puerto Rican model and former Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2020, Estefanía Soto, will throw the first pitch. The event will also feature an on-field presentation and additional experiences connecting fans with Puerto Rico’s baseball tradition. All stadiums will show a 60-second scoreboard video highlighting the island’s beauty and heritage.

“Puerto Rico’s relationship with baseball is rooted in generations of players who have competed at the highest level and represented our Island with tremendous pride. Most recently, Carlos Beltrán became Puerto Rico’s sixth inductee into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, further cementing our Island’s enduring legacy in the sport,” said Jorge L. Pérez, CEO of Discover Puerto Rico.

Fans can also experience Puerto Rico firsthand through the Ballpark to Island Giveaway, offering a trip for two including airfare, hotel, and special experiences. The giveaway is open to U.S. residents 18 and over, with no purchase necessary.

Ralph Paniagua, Managing Director of 21 Events, emphasized the series’ significance: “One of the things that makes this series special is the opportunity to tell different stories in every city. Puerto Rico’s baseball history isn’t defined by one player, one generation or one ballpark. Our players have made an impact across the game, and these events allow us to recognize those contributions in front of the fans and communities that remember them. Colorado, Chicago and Los Angeles each give us another opportunity to celebrate that history.”
