Read The Future Launches Sprout Space Education Program to Inspire Young Space Explorers

A new educational program aimed at inspiring K-8 students to pursue careers in the emerging space economy has been launched by Read The Future, a nonprofit workforce development organization. The Sprout Space Education Program will focus on cultivating curiosity and creativity among young learners, preparing them for potential futures in space exploration and related scientific fields.

The program, designed as a three-module curriculum for Arizona students, seeks to introduce children to the principles of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) through an engaging and forward-thinking approach. Leading this innovative initiative are two accomplished professionals: Charlotte Simunek, appointed as Executive Director, and Kariim Sharief, who will serve as Program Manager. Simunek brings extensive global education experience from her role at CY Cergy Paris Université, while Sharief contributes a background in education and community operations from his work in international teaching.

The program's broader mission aligns with Read The Future's vision of democratizing space exploration education.
