Ronald McDonald House of Dallas Calls for Volunteers to Support 38th Annual Holiday Train Exhibit

The Ronald McDonald House of Dallas is inviting North Texas community members to volunteer for the 38th annual Trains at NorthPark holiday exhibit, which runs from November 15, 2025, through January 4, 2026. This cherished fundraising tradition requires volunteer support throughout its eight-week duration, with particular need for assistance during weekdays. Volunteers aged 15 and older will help greet guests, monitor exhibits, sell tickets and merchandise, and assist families in creating lasting holiday memories.

Presented by Bank of Texas for the 17th consecutive year, The Trains at NorthPark serves as a critical fundraising vehicle supporting RMHD's mission of providing a home-away-from-home for families with children receiving medical treatment at Dallas-area hospitals. The event aims to raise more than $1.1 million to sustain this vital work. Jill Cumnock, CEO of Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, emphasized that volunteers are essential to the event's success, stating that their time and energy directly support keeping families close to the medical care their children require.

Volunteer opportunities are available for individuals, school groups, corporate teams, and families seeking meaningful ways to give back during the holiday season. Prospective volunteers can sign up for shifts through the official Trains at NorthPark volunteer registration portal. Jane Finan, volunteer services manager at RMHD, noted that the organization relies completely on dedicated volunteers to make the event possible, whether they contribute a single shift or return weekly.

This year's exhibit will feature several new attractions including the Art on the Rails auction and Choo-Choo Tales live story-time performances. Sensory Hours, made possible by Children's Health, will provide accessible programming for visitors with sensory sensitivities. Located on Level One of NorthPark Center, the event continues its tradition of combining holiday magic with meaningful community support for families facing medical crises.
