SBF AG Unveils Two Product Innovations to Strengthen Sensor Technology and Electromechanics Segment

The enhanced Automatic Label Feeder (ALF) and the automatic optical inspection system INSPECT are both field-tested solutions developed in-house and now commercially available for industrial customers with similar requirements. The Automatic Label Feeder has been a standard for precise, reliable labeling in industrial manufacturing. Originally developed for internal use in electronics production, ALF evolved into an independent product line due to strong customer demand. The latest enhancement enables fully automated labeling of glass vials, opening up new target industries such as pharmaceuticals, laboratory diagnostics, and fine chemicals. This expansion demonstrates the adaptability of the technology and strengthens SBF’s product portfolio. INSPECT, the new optical inspection system, automates quality assurance in electronics manufacturing after SMD assembly. It uses a high-resolution camera to capture assembled printed circuit boards, with software that independently identifies fiducial marks, component positions, and orientations. The system reads all standard barcode and 2D code formats and automatically documents inspection results. Set up can be completed within minutes, and calibration and operating data are fully retained during updates. Stability and robustness in continuous operation have been improved, ensuring reliable performance even if hardware failures occur.
