Shincheonji Church Celebrates Nearly 60,000 Graduates Mastering Biblical Revelation

The Shincheonji Church of Jesus celebrated the graduation of 59,192 students from its Zion Christian Mission Center's 116th class during a ceremony held at the Cheongju Church. These graduates are described as believers who have mastered the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation through a structured program that examines prophecies and their fulfillment across Scripture. To graduate, each student must complete three educational levels and score at least 90 out of 100 on a comprehensive final exam.

Chairman Lee Man-hee addressed the gathering with a powerful message emphasizing the importance of biblical accuracy. He stated that the church has mastered the Book of Revelation and challenged Christians to examine whether their faith aligns with Scripture rather than relying on church hierarchy. Lee referenced Revelation 22:18-19, which warns against adding to or taking away from God's Word, suggesting that genuine understanding comes through direct engagement with biblical text.

Despite what the church characterizes as intensified persecution and misunderstanding, graduation numbers continue to grow significantly. Among this year's graduates were 2,248 ordained pastors, bringing the total number of pastor graduates over the last four years to more than 13,500. This trend indicates that religious leaders worldwide are seeking deeper biblical understanding beyond traditional seminary education.

Testimonies from graduates highlighted transformative experiences with biblical interpretation. Oh Sun-kyung, a former pastor who led three churches, confessed to struggling with understanding Revelation despite reading the Bible over 30 times before joining the Mission Center. He described how within the first hour of class, his perspective shifted as lessons were grounded exclusively in Scripture. Another graduate, Park Sang-jun, who spent over four decades in the Presbyterian Church, acknowledged initially criticizing Shincheonji but later recognizing that their teaching strictly follows biblical text.

The graduation ceremony, themed Love and Blessing—The Light That Shines on the World, attracted more than 20,000 attendees in person at Cheongju Church while tens of thousands participated online through Shincheonji churches globally. Tan Young-jin, Director-General of the Zion Christian Mission Center, noted that despite prejudice, increasing numbers of people are experiencing spiritual renewal through what the church describes as biblically-grounded truth. The event featured powerful worship and emotional testimonies that graduates characterized as representing faith reborn through direct engagement with Scripture.
