Shincheonji Church of Jesus Taekwondo Team Achieves Global Recognition

The taekwondo team of Shincheonji Church of Jesus has marked its presence on the global stage with remarkable achievements at the 2025 Park Chung-hee Cup International Open Taekwondo Competition in South Korea. With 25 athletes competing, the team secured four gold, seven silver, and 14 bronze medals, highlighting their rigorous preparation and teamwork.

Gold medalist Lee Jun-wi shared insights into the team's preparation, emphasizing the focus and effort within the limited training time available. Coach Kim Deok-hoon praised the athletes for their unwavering performance against top-tier competitors from 18 countries, underscoring the team's potential for future competitions with enhanced training strategies.

Further cementing their reputation, the Shincheonji team excelled at the 2025 Kim Un-yong Cup International Open Taekwondo Competition in Busan, with all participants earning medals, including two first-place awards.
