Shincheonji Church Taekwondo Team Achieves Global Recognition

The taekwondo team of Shincheonji Church of Jesus has marked a significant achievement in the 2025 Park Chung-hee Cup International Open Taekwondo Competition in South Korea, with all participating members winning prizes. The event, which saw around 4,200 athletes from 18 countries, including Korea, the United States, and France, was a testament to the team's dedication and skill.

With 25 athletes competing in the individual competition, the team secured four gold medals, seven silver medals, and 14 bronze medals. Lee Jun-wi, a gold medalist, highlighted the team's focused training and effort as key to their success. Coach Kim Deok-hoon expressed pride in the team's performance against high-level competition and outlined plans for future participation with an improved training system.

Further cementing their status, the Shincheonji taekwondo national team also excelled at the 2025 Kim Un-yong Cup International Open Taekwondo Competition in Busan, with all team members winning medals. Their consistent performance in both domestic and international competitions underscores their skill and effective team management.
