The 7th Annual Best in the West Showdown transformed Big Sky Town Center into a high-energy winter sports arena, drawing over 6,000 spectators and highlighting the growing popularity of skijoring, a dynamic sport combining horseback riding and skiing.

Competitors from across North America battled for $15,000 in prize money across multiple divisions, demonstrating extraordinary skill and precision. The Open Ski Division saw Richard Weber and Jim Ryan clinch first place with a remarkable 37.26-second run, while the Pro Snowboard Division was dominated by Kurt Layton and his team, who swept the top three positions.

Beyond traditional competition, the event featured groundbreaking exhibitions that expanded the boundaries of winter sports entertainment.
