Sonepar and Klein Tools Contribute $8,004 to Support Veterans Through Bob Woodruff Foundation

Sonepar and Klein Tools have announced a donation of $8,004 to the Bob Woodruff Foundation, a move that underscores their dedication to supporting veterans and their families. This contribution is the result of a collaborative initiative where a portion of proceeds from sales of custom Klein Tools pliers, featuring an American flag engraving, was allocated to the foundation. The funds are earmarked for critical services including housing assistance, mental health care, and job training for veterans across the United States.

Anne Marie Dougherty, CEO of the Bob Woodruff Foundation, praised the partnership, highlighting its impact on the lives of military families. The initiative, which began on Veterans Day in 2024, is set to continue annually, reinforcing the companies' appreciation for the military community. Bill Mortimer of Sonepar expressed pride in the donation, emphasizing the sacrifices made by military families and the importance of supporting them.

Beyond this donation, Sonepar has demonstrated a broader commitment to the military community through over 25 partnerships with military-focused organizations. These efforts aim to integrate veterans, reservists, and military spouses into the workforce, supported by participation in more than 300 veteran-focused recruiting events. The company's Military and Veterans Employee Resource Group (MERGE) further enhances this commitment, offering a support network for members and contributing an additional $10,000 to the Bob Woodruff Foundation in 2024.
