SouthernMED Pediatrics Expands Access with Full-Day Pediatric Care in North Augusta

SouthernMED Pediatrics, one of South Carolina's leading pediatric healthcare providers, has integrated NiteOwl Pediatric Urgent Care into its network, effective November 17, 2025. Located at 616 Edgefield Road, Suite 180, North Augusta, the practice will operate as SouthernMED Pediatrics + NiteOwl Extended Hours through the end of 2025, maintaining its existing after-hours pediatric care services for the North Augusta community.

Beginning January 2026, the practice will undergo a significant transformation, expanding its scope from urgent care to include primary pediatric care with extended daytime hours alongside evening and weekend availability. This expansion will provide both established and new patient families with comprehensive, full-day pediatric services at a single convenient location. Dr. R. Under the continued leadership of Carlee Leopard, the practice will implement new operating hours in early January: Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM; Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM; and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This expansion marks SouthernMED's entry into North Augusta, one of South Carolina's fastest-growing regions, and establishes it as one of only two dedicated pediatric practices in the city. The North Augusta location will enhance SouthernMED's statewide network by offering telemedicine, behavioral health integration, online appointment scheduling, and coordinated family communication tools to support patients throughout childhood.
