Spin Introduces Advanced Scooter Fleet in Baltimore to Enhance Safety and Accessibility

Spin has significantly upgraded its scooter fleet in Baltimore, with the new C1 model now comprising over 95% of its offerings, aiming to improve safety, accessibility, and community mobility. This initiative reflects Spin's commitment to innovation and inclusivity, as evidenced by the 80,000 rides recorded in the past month, showcasing the growing reliance on sustainable transportation options among Baltimore's residents and visitors.

The C1 scooter features several enhancements designed for rider safety and convenience, including a lower deck height for better balance, a front-mounted battery to reduce misuse risks, and built-in wireless phone charging. Additionally, advanced telemetry and sidewalk riding detection technologies have been implemented to ensure compliance with safety zones and reduce vandalism.

Austin Spademan, Director of Government Partnerships at Spin, highlighted the fleet's performance and inclusivity, noting Baltimore's early access to these advanced vehicles.
