Tú Cuentas Cine Youth Fest Wins Four Awards at 32nd Annual Communicator Awards

The Hispanic Information and Telecommunications Network (HITN) announced that its youth-focused film initiative, Tú Cuentas Cine Youth Fest (TCCYF), has received four wins at the 32nd Annual Communicator Awards. The awards, presented by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts, recognize productions from the TCCYF platform for their excellence in engaging and motivating audiences.

Among the honorees, the interview series 2025 Tú Cuentas Cafecito con Ingrid ‘Superstar’ Salcedo received an Award of Excellence in the General-Interview or Talk Show category and an Award of Distinction in the General-Motivational category. Another production, 2025 Tú Cuentas Cafecito con Roselyn Sanchez, earned an Award of Distinction in the General-Interview or Talk Show category. Additionally, The Power of Voice: The Art of Dubbing for Film and TV received an Award of Excellence in the General-Motivational category.

The Communicator Awards, now in their 32nd year, are among the largest programs honoring achievement in marketing, communications, and creative media. This year’s competition drew more than 3,000 entries from agencies, production companies, universities, and global brands. Winners were selected by a jury of over 1,100 industry professionals from organizations including Netflix, National Geographic Society, FedEx, and JPMorgan Chase & Co., as noted on the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts website.

In a congratulatory letter to Cynthia Rivera, TCCYF co-director, Josh Campbell, general manager of the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts, praised the initiative's work: “Your work cut through the noise, connected with audiences and delivered real results. That is what Well Said work looks like, and we are honored to recognize it!”

The recognition adds momentum for Tú Cuentas Cine Youth Fest, which provides emerging Latino filmmakers and storytellers with greater visibility through screenings, workshops, and original digital content. This aligns with HITN’s mission to educate and entertain, as described on the HITN corporate webpage. The festival’s organizers emphasized that these awards reflect both the quality of the productions and the importance of creating spaces where Hispanic youth can develop and share their stories with broader audiences.

HITN, a leading Spanish-language media company, reaches more than 35 million homes in the United States and Puerto Rico through distributors including DIRECTV, AT&T U-verse, Comcast Xfinity, and Charter Spectrum, as listed on HITN’s TV webpage. The Tú Cuentas initiative continues to focus on elevating Latino voices in media and entertainment at a time when representation remains a central industry issue.
