The Dairy Alliance is distributing nutrient-rich milk to student-athletes at the GHSA football state championships, highlighting dairy's role in athletic performance and recovery while continuing its community partnership with Georgia high school sports.

The Dairy Alliance, a nonprofit funded by dairy farm families in the Southeast, is providing nutritional support to student-athletes and fans during the 14th Annual GHSA Tommy Guillebeau Football State Championships at Mercedes-Benz Stadium from December 15–17, 2025. The organization is distributing real dairy milk from Mayfield Dairy and branded giveaways throughout the championship event, which caps the high school football season and honors the legacy of longtime GHSA Executive Director Tommy Guillebeau.
"We proudly support student-athletes across Georgia as they compete on Georgia's biggest stage," said Joanne Engelhardt-Risko, Vice President of Strategic Marketing at The Dairy Alliance. "Real dairy milk provides complete high-quality protein for muscle recovery, carbohydrates for energy replenishment, and natural electrolytes that support hydration, helping these Georgia athletes perform and recover at every stage of the game." This initiative is part of the organization's broader Milk's Got Game® campaign, which showcases real dairy milk as effective fuel for athletic performance.
Laura Buxenbaum, Registered Dietitian and Vice President of Health & Wellness at The Dairy Alliance, emphasized milk's nutritional benefits for athletes, noting that "milk, whether plain or flavored, is an affordable, easily accessible, and delicious, naturally nutrient-rich beverage to help fuel athletes for performance and recovery." The partnership between The Dairy Alliance and GHSA represents a continued commitment to supporting student-athlete nutrition and wellness across Georgia's high school sports programs.
"The GHSA proudly continues its partnership with The Dairy Alliance to support student-athletes across Georgia," said Jorge Cimadevilla, GHSA Partnerships General Manager. "Their dedication to nutrition, education, and community outreach aligns perfectly with our mission to strengthen healthy, competitive, and well-rounded athletic programs. We look forward to the continued positive impact this partnership brings to our schools and communities." This collaboration extends beyond the football championships as The Dairy Alliance supports active communities throughout the Southeast.
Across the region, The Dairy Alliance engages with athletic programs through its Milk's Got Game® initiative, partnering with both high school and collegiate athletes to promote the performance benefits of real dairy milk. The organization also reaches sports fans through major race sponsorships including the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race, Rock 'n' Roll Nashville, and the Cooper City Bridge Run.
