The ProMedia Group Hires Troy Fernandez as Project Manager to Fuel Growth

The ProMedia Group (PMG), an audiovisual and technology integration solutions provider based in Tampa, Florida, has announced the hiring of Troy Fernandez as Project Manager. Fernandez brings over two decades of global program and project leadership experience to the company, which is continuing to expand its national footprint.

Fernandez previously held leadership roles at Watchtower in Tuxedo Park, New York, where he served as Program Manager overseeing a global portfolio of active projects across 30 international offices. He also served as Global Design Director, where he developed design standards across 84 international branches while mentoring teams. Earlier in his career, he spent 15 years with AECOM in New York, contributing to major infrastructure projects including work with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the Transportation Security Administration, and the World Trade Center PATH Terminal.

Fernandez was attracted to PMG by the opportunity to work on new types of facilities, particularly in the sports and stadium sector. "I've spent my career managing residential and commercial work, but this is a chance to be part of something different — to get more hands-on and be on the other side of the process, especially in AV and broadcast environments," he said. His approach emphasizes collaboration, planning, and adaptability. "Surround yourself with qualified people, work as a team, and keep everyone aligned toward the end goal. That's what drives consistent, high-quality results."

Ken Avis, CEO of The ProMedia Group, noted the significance of the hire. "Adding someone with this level of global experience and leadership strengthens our ability to deliver exceptional results for our clients. His expertise in managing complex, multi-site projects aligns perfectly with our commitment to excellence and continued growth."

In his new role, Fernandez will oversee AV integration projects from design through installation, supporting PMG's expansion and its goal of delivering high-performance solutions. The company, recognized as one of Tampa Bay's Best Places to Work, serves commercial clients across healthcare, education, corporate, and government sectors.
