Trailbreaker Resources has mobilized an exploration team to its flagship Atsutla Gold project to conduct first-pass reconnaissance on newly consolidated ground near the high-grade Highlands zone, representing a significant step in advancing the underexplored property's potential for major gold discoveries.

Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. has mobilized an exploration team to its flagship Atsutla Gold project in northwestern British Columbia, marking a significant advancement in the company's efforts to develop the property. The 100%-owned project covers over 40,000 hectares of ground with very limited historic exploration, located 70 km south of the Yukon-British Columbia border and 120 km northwest of Dease Lake.
The company recently consolidated key ground within the Atsutla Gold project claim boundary near the Highlands zone, which hosts the highest gold grades sampled on the property to date, with values reaching up to 630 g/t gold. The newly acquired ground consists of 528 hectares, including 396 hectares acquired through recent staking and 132 hectares obtained through a purchase agreement signed on August 26th, 2025. According to the agreement terms available on NewMediaWire, Trailbreaker will pay the vendor CAD $10,000 for a 100% interest in the property, with the vendor retaining a 2.0% Net Smelter Return royalty that can be reduced to 1.0% through a $1,000,000 payment.
The exploration team will perform first-pass reconnaissance on this previously unexplored ground, conducting geological mapping, prospecting, and soil sampling activities. Additionally, the team will ground-truth drill collar locations within the Highlands zone area in preparation for future drilling programs. Daithi Mac Gearailt, CEO of Trailbreaker, emphasized the project's significance, noting that the company advanced the Swan zone to a drill-ready stage last year and aims to achieve similar progress with the Highlands zone this year.
The Highlands zone features widespread gold mineralization with numerous rock grab samples returning multi-ounce gold and silver values across a 750 by 600-meter area. The gold-bearing quartz veins are confined to shallow-dipping fault structures that extend 3.5 km north to the Snook zone and 1.5 km east to the Christmas Creek zone. This geological continuity suggests strong potential for additional mineralization within the newly consolidated ground west of the Highlands zone, making the testing of this theory the primary objective of the current exploration program.
The Atsutla Gold project is fully permitted for drilling and features two distinct target settings that have never been drilled. The Highlands zone represents a new high-grade orogenic gold discovery, while the Swan zone, located 26 km to the southeast, represents a porphyry copper-gold-silver target. The project is centered over the regional-scale Teslin-Thibert fault system, which marks the contact between the Quesnel and Cache Creek terranes, with gold mineralization associated with Mesozoic batholithic intrusions that dominate the property's geology.
Since its discovery in 2020, Trailbreaker has identified five significant zones of gold mineralization spanning 26 kilometers across the property. These include the Christmas Creek Zone with samples up to 102 g/t gold, the Snook Zone with samples up to 53.3 g/t gold, the Willie Jack Zone featuring a 1.25 km gold-in-soil anomaly, and the Swan Zone showing porphyry-style mineralization with rock samples grading up to 11.7 g/t gold, 212 g/t silver, and 0.81% copper. The company's systematic approach to exploration and ground consolidation demonstrates the strategic importance of the Atsutla Gold project within Trailbreaker's portfolio and the broader northwestern British Columbia mining district.
