Trauma Resource Institute Hosts First International Conference, Marking 20 Years of Global Impact

The Trauma Resource Institute (TRI) will host its first annual international conference and celebrate its 20th anniversary from October 2–4, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Claremont in Claremont, California. The event, available both in person and virtually, marks a significant milestone for an organization whose international network now spans all 50 U.S. states and more than 77 countries. This gathering underscores the growing global demand for trauma-informed and resiliency-focused approaches, positioning TRI as a central figure in a movement that addresses the biological effects of trauma and chronic stress.

Under the theme "Rooted in Well-Being, Planted in Community, Cultivated by Hope," the conference will bring together natural leaders, educators, practitioners, researchers, community partners, and individuals interested in resilience-based work. No previous TRI training or experience is required to attend. By inviting both longtime members and newcomers, TRI aims to broaden access to its models and foster cross-sector collaboration. The conference will explore the application of the Community Resiliency Model (CRM)® and Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM)® across diverse communities, professional settings, and populations.

Over three days, participants will engage in presentations, discussions, interactive learning opportunities, and practical tools. Key topics include real-world applications of CRM and TRM, emerging research, community-based initiatives addressing trauma and chronic stress, and meaningful collaboration with practitioners, educators, and partners worldwide. Both models are designed to help people understand trauma's biological effects while learning skills that support balance and well-being. The conference will highlight how these models are used in culturally responsive and accessible ways to strengthen individuals and communities.
