This year's honorees include Retired Sgt. Gus Proctor, Lt. Everett West, and Carl Schinner, each recognized for their dedication beyond the call of duty.
Retired Sgt. Gus Proctor, with 30 years in law enforcement, has significantly impacted the community through his work with the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Maryland and various boards, raising over $1.1 million for athletes. Carl Schinner, with nearly 40 years in law enforcement, has led initiatives such as Operation Prevent Porch Piracy and advocated for inclusive policing.
