Two Morris, King & Hodge Attorneys Earn 'Lawyer of the Year' Honors for 2027

Two attorneys from the North Alabama personal injury law firm Morris, King & Hodge, P.C. have again been honored with 'Lawyer of the Year' recognition from The Best Lawyers in America for 2027. David J. Hodge and Joe A. King, Jr. were among four firm attorneys listed in the 2027 edition of the publication, which is widely regarded as a benchmark of excellence in the legal profession.

This marks the sixth time in eight years that multiple attorneys from the firm have simultaneously received this distinction. The 'Lawyer of the Year' honor is bestowed upon only one attorney in each practice area and geographic region per edition, making it a significant achievement. Hodge was named 'Lawyer of the Year' in Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs for Huntsville, his eighth such recognition. King received the honor in two categories: Product Liability Litigation – Plaintiffs and Litigation – Insurance, bringing his total to six 'Lawyer of the Year' awards.

Joining Hodge and King in the 2027 edition are firm founder Harvey B. Morris and Joseph D. Aiello. Morris, recognized for Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs, has been listed for 19 consecutive years. Aiello was cited for Appellate Practice, marking his 11th listing. King was also listed in six practice areas overall, including Mass Tort Litigation / Class Actions – Plaintiffs, Medical Malpractice Law – Plaintiffs, and Workers' Compensation Law – Claimants, among others.
