Two New York Spine Institute Surgeons Named 2026 Castle Connolly Top Doctors

Alexandre B. de Moura, MD, and Timothy T. Roberts, MD, orthopaedic spine surgeons at New York Spine Institute, have been named 2026 Castle Connolly Top Doctors, marking the first time they have received this prestigious designation. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the NYU School of Medicine and has authored numerous multi-center clinical trials on lumbar arthrodesis. Dr. Roberts received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Albany Medical College, and a spine surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. He serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU Langone Health and is an expert peer reviewer for publications including Spine and The Spine Journal. Both physicians are board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
