VYRE Network has formed a strategic partnership with acclaimed filmmaker Dr. Greg Carter to guide its curated content programming across Texas and adjacent markets, focusing on empowering regional creators through development, production, and global distribution.

VYRE Network, a free global streaming platform dedicated to empowering filmmakers, television creators, and athletes, announced a strategic partnership with filmmaker and showrunner Dr. Greg Carter, founder of Nexus Entertainment. Under this agreement, Dr. Carter will help guide VYRE's curated content strategy across Texas and adjacent regional markets, with an emphasis on high-quality feature films, television series, docu-series, and live special events.
Dr. Carter brings more than two decades of experience as a creator, director, producer, and showrunner, with notable credits including Lucky Girl, My B.F.F., and Hip Hop Family Christmas Wedding, the latter produced in collaboration with Jamie Foxx and Foxxhole Entertainment and premiering on VH1. He currently serves as a Professor of Film Media at the University of Houston Valenti School of Communication. Through this partnership, Dr. Carter will collaborate directly with VYRE Network's executive programming team to curate, develop, and supervise production of high-performing regional content, establish strategic creator relationships, and expand VYRE's footprint as a destination for professionally produced, culturally relevant storytelling.
"My mission is simple: to empower regional creators and give them a real pathway to funding, development, production oversight, and worldwide exposure," said Dr. Carter. "Houston — and the entire region — is rich with untold stories and creative voices. This new office exists to cultivate those voices, shape them, and bring them to global audiences." As part of the initiative, Dr. Carter will also lead educational and professional development sessions for Texas-based creators, providing practical insight into project financing, deal structure, pitching, packaging, and navigating distribution pathways.
Beginning in 2026, audiences will be able to stream a slate of curated tentpole titles from Nexus Entertainment, along with select regional acquisitions, free on the VYRE app across various platforms including Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and via the web at https://vyre.tv. This partnership strengthens VYRE Network's position as a scalable platform for premium independent content while providing Nexus Entertainment and regional creators with global distribution, audience reach, and strategic infrastructure. VYRE Network is dedicated to serving the next generation of creators by providing them with the tools and opportunities needed to succeed in the entertainment industry through global distribution, film financing, and production support.
