Western Star Resources Accelerates U.S. Tungsten Strategy with Three Past-Producing Assets, 2026 Drilling Plans and Pathway Toward Maiden Mineral Resource at Eagle Point

Western Star Resources has expanded its U.S. tungsten portfolio with three past-producing assets and is advancing toward drilling and a maiden resource estimate at Eagle Point, aiming to secure domestic critical mineral supply.

Western Star Resources Inc. (CSE: WSR) (OTC: WSRIF) (FRA: 4K2) is advancing its U.S. tungsten strategy with a focus on execution, having assembled a portfolio of three past-producing tungsten assets in Nevada and New Mexico. The company is now prioritizing drilling at its Eagle Point project in New Mexico, with plans for a maiden drill program in 2026 and a pathway toward a maiden mineral resource estimate.
Since the end of 2025, Western Star has expanded the Rowland Tungsten Property by approximately 170%, acquired the adjacent White Star Tungsten Project, and acquired a 100% interest in the Eagle Point Tungsten Project. The company has also completed modern systematic exploration programs, including high-resolution UAV magnetic geophysical work and extensive surface exploration, identifying an approximately one-kilometre tungsten-skarn geochemical corridor at Rowland with a peak soil result of approximately 1,425 ppm WO(3).
Eagle Point is a key asset in Western Star's portfolio, with historical production of approximately 1,800 tons of scheelite-bearing material, historical U.S. Government estimates outlining significant near-surface tungsten-bearing material, and eight historically mapped skarn bodies. Modern USGS sampling at Eagle Point returned up to 27.6% WO(3) and 0.98% Mo. The company's objective is to systematically test the historically identified mineralization using modern exploration and drilling, and if supported by sufficient data, advance toward a maiden NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate.
The company has engaged Dahrouge Geological Consulting to assist with technical evaluation and future exploration. At Eagle Point, the focus is on integrating historical geological information with modern datasets and building a practical geological model to support drill targeting. The planned drill program aims to test the principal historically identified mineralized zones, investigate grade and geological continuity, test the geometry and thickness of tungsten-bearing skarn, and evaluate extensions along strike and at depth.
Western Star's strategy at Eagle Point is to validate the historical geological model, drill the historically identified mineralization, establish continuity, test extensions, and if results support it, advance toward a maiden NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate. The company also has Rowland advancing toward drilling in Nevada and White Star undergoing its first integrated modern exploration program.
The company has closed approximately C$3.69 million through an oversubscribed private placement and has submitted an application in response to a U.S. Defense Industrial Base Consortium solicitation relating to reliable supplies of strategic critical minerals. Western Star believes the combination of historical production, high-grade tungsten occurrences, multiple untested targets, modern exploration programs, a strengthened treasury, and exposure to U.S. critical-mineral supply priorities provides a differentiated position within the North American tungsten exploration sector.
