WETEX 2024 Expands Global Reach with 21 International Pavilions

The upcoming Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) 2024 is poised to be a landmark event in the sustainability calendar, featuring an unprecedented 21 international pavilions. Scheduled from October 1-3, 2024, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the exhibition will bring together over 2,800 companies from 65 countries, underlining its significance as a global hub for innovation in water, energy, and environmental technologies.

Organized by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), WETEX has evolved into a crucial platform for both public and private organizations worldwide. The event offers participants an unparalleled opportunity to expand their network, explore new markets, and engage with potential investors. HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX, emphasized the exhibition's growing stature, stating that it has become 'an annual must-attend event' for organizations aiming to be at the forefront of sustainability.

Notable among these is the Indian pavilion, organized by the Water Purification And Treatment Association of Gujarat (WAPTAG). Rishabh Sanghvi, Vice-President of WAPTAG, highlighted a 50% increase in Indian participation compared to the previous year, showcasing advanced technologies in water treatment solutions.

The Belgium pavilion, representing the Walloon region, will host six companies specializing in various fields including water treatment, processors, IT, and green hydrogen. Edith Mayeux, Economic Counselor for the AWEX, Wallonia Export & Investment Agency, emphasized their commitment to combating climate change through their expertise.

Italy's renewed participation in WETEX 2024 is marked by a strong presence of Italian companies, demonstrating the country's dedication to sustainable innovation and green economy. Valerio Soldani, Italian Trade Commissioner to the UAE, expressed pride in the Italian pavilion, organized by the Italian Trade Agency.

The Belarus pavilion, a first-time participant, is organized by the National Centre for Marketing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. Mikalai Barysevich, Director General of the Centre, views this participation as a stepping stone for future large-scale projects and international cooperation.
