Wytec Proposes AI Gunshot Detection System for Texas Schools in Response to NCTCOG RFP

Wytec International, a 5G network development company, has announced its response to a Request for Proposal (RFP) from the North Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) for gunshot detection solutions. The company's proposal, which has been accepted, aims to address the growing concern of shooter incidents in schools and other public spaces across Texas.

The NCTCOG's initiative seeks to provide gunshot detection solutions for 1,207 Texas Independent School Districts (ISDs), as well as other critical infrastructure such as colleges, transit authorities, hospitals, water districts, and municipalities. This move comes as part of a broader effort to enhance security measures in light of the increasing frequency of active shooter incidents in the United States.

Wytec's proposed solution is a patent-pending AI Gunshot Detection System, which boasts a detection accuracy of over 90% based on more than 500,000 live samples and simulated environments. The system's capabilities extend beyond gunshot detection, incorporating advanced drug sensor technology to detect dangerous chemicals, including fentanyl, which has been at the center of a devastating epidemic affecting young people across America.

The potential implementation of Wytec's technology in Texas schools could mark a significant step forward in proactive security measures. The company's expansion plans include a partnership with Lemko Corporation, leveraging their combined intellectual property of over 50 patents related to software-defined architectures.
