Zonte Metals has discovered copper and silver mineralization at its N Dunns target within the Cross Hills Copper Project, validating the project's Iron Oxide Copper-Gold potential and advancing nine large-scale targets toward drilling in an underexplored district with significant tonnage potential.

Zonte Metals Discovers Copper and Silver Mineralization at Cross Hills Project, Advances Nine Drill Targets

Zonte Metals Inc. has announced significant exploration progress at its Cross Hills Copper Project in Newfoundland and Labrador, including the discovery of copper and silver mineralization at the N Dunns target and the advancement of multiple large-scale Iron Oxide Copper-Gold targets toward drill testing. The company has systematically transformed the project from early-stage exploration into a district-scale IOCG system featuring nine drill-ready targets over seven years of work.

Recent geophysical surveys, particularly high-resolution gravity data, have identified strong, deep-seated anomalies with dimensions reaching 3,300 metres in length, 600 metres wide, and 1,000 metres in depth. These anomalies display gravity measurements ranging from 1 to 5 mGals, with volumes suggesting significant tonnage potential. The company has invested approximately $5 million to date in systematic exploration including geophysics, geochemistry, and geological mapping, positioning Cross Hills as an advanced exploration-stage project with geological characteristics analogous to globally recognized IOCG systems such as Olympic Dam and Prominent Hill in Australia.

The N Dunns target represents a major new discovery, with copper-silver mineralization observed in surface veins measuring 2-15 cm wide and traceable for up to 150 metres. A grab sample from one vein returned assay results of 0.5% copper, 14.3 g/t silver, trace gold with greater than 10% iron. The mineralization sits approximately 100 metres above a large geophysical anomaly discovered during winter ground gravity surveys, measuring up to 3300 metres in length, 400-600 metres wide, and up to 1000 metres in thickness according to the company's May 29, 2025 news release available at https://www.zontemetals.com/projects/cross-hills-copper-property.

Terry Christopher, CEO of Zonte Metals, stated that the discovery at N Dunns represents key validation of the project's IOCG potential and confirms nine drill targets. The company notes that grab samples are selective by nature and may not be representative of mineralization across the target area, and geophysical survey results remain at an early interpretation stage with no guarantee of mineral discovery. With the new surface copper mineralization spatially located above the target anomaly, N Dunns will now advance to the drill stage, with remaining exploration work including infill and extensions to both soil and gravity grids.

The progress at Cross Hills demonstrates the potential for significant copper discoveries in underexplored districts, with the project's scale and geological setting becoming increasingly attractive to mining companies. The systematic approach to exploration has confirmed the presence of a fertile, copper-bearing hydrothermal system across multiple targets, providing multiple opportunities for discovery through upcoming drilling programs.
