Boerne Celebrates American Craft Beer Week with 5th Annual Bock Walk

Boerne proudly celebrates American Craft Beer Week, May 11-17, highlighting its vibrant local breweries and culminating with the beloved 5th Annual Bock Walk, on May 16-17.

Boerne is home to six independent craft breweries, each contributing to the city’s growing reputation as a destination for quality, creativity, and community. Participating breweries include 28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen,  Hamby’s, Tusculum Brewing Co., Cibolo Creek Brewing Co., Free Roam Brewing Co., and The Dodging Duck Brewhaus. 

During the Bock Walk, each brewery will craft and serve its own signature Maibock-a traditional German-style lager known for its smooth malt character and springtime appeal. Beer enthusiasts are invited to explore each location, savor unique Maibock interpretations, and experience the collaborative spirit defining Boerne’s craft beer culture.

Tori Bellos with Visit Boerne said Boerne’s breweries are more than places to enjoy craft beer-they’re a vital part of the community and visitor experience. ‘Each brewery brings its own personality and passion to Boerne,’ Bellos said. ‘Together, they create a welcoming destination that both visitors and locals are proud to be part of.’

Attendees can commemorate the event with a limited-edition Boerne craft brewery t-shirt, available for pre-order online. The exclusive design features all six breweries and offers fans a chance to “rep” Boerne’s craft beer community well during American Craft Beer Week and beyond.

A portion of proceeds from every shirt sold will benefit Paidion Shield, a veteran-run nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting children through safety training and preparedness programs. This partnership showcases the breweries’ dedication to craftsmanship and their meaningful impact on the community.
